2018 Fall Season Practices
15‘s practice begins this Tuesday evening at 6 PM. Please remind your mates and bring any new recruits to the practice. Our first match is August 4 at the Irish Fest in Waterloo Iowa our first league competition is August 25 see you at practice. – Francis
New Match Scheduled for 3/31 vs Iowa Central
A little change to our schedule, we are going to be playing Iowa Central at home in Iowa Falls on March 31st.
Spring 2018 Practices are Starting
We will be starting practice on Tuesday and Thursday next week (week of 3/12). Let’s get everyone to practice at 6 pm. Please come and join us.
Proposed Iowa Rugby Hall of Fame sculpture
Scale model of proposed Iowa Rugby Hall of Fame sculpture created by Chris Pruismann. The sculpture would be 6 feet tall. The central rectangle will rotate. The sides of the rectangle would be removable so that they can be inscribed with the names of the Hall of Fame honorees. Any donations to the IFRFC Foundation for this project would be appreciated. Please consider us for your upcoming tax reductions and donations.

Iowa Falls Rugby Continued League Competition
Iowa Falls Rugby continued League competition October 28 again playing Des Moines Rugby for the opportunity to advance to the Midwest Championship. The more seasoned Des Moines club build a 0 -26 lead shortly before halftime. Their momentum was stopped by Chris Pruismann with a try to trail 5 – 26 at the half. Again Iowa Falls Rugby battled even during the second half with tries by Chris Pruismann and Theo Gerve for the final score 17 – 40. The Iowa Falls Rugby banquet will be December 9 at the American Legion Hall in Alden. All players, alumni, and supporters are invited.
Match in Des Moines
Hey boys we will be making a trip back down to Des Moines on the 28th to see who moves on. The game will be at 11 am again let’s get everyone to practice and to the game and have a full squad this time.
Iowa Falls Rugby vs Des Moines
Iowa Falls Rugby had the rain follow them to Des Moines for their next league rugby match. Des Moines quickly opened the scoring with three tries to lead 0 – 19 in the first 22 minutes. Iowa Falls rugger Brian Mercado broke the Des Moines momentum with a try at 34 minutes to trail 5 – 19. The Iowa Falls team continued to battle despite adverse conditions outscoring their opponent 10 – 5 in the final 58 minutes of the match. The final score was 10 – 24. New teammates for Iowa Falls Jesse Fikes and Marky Felix acquitted themselves well. Any playoff hopes will be decided by the Iowa Union in the next week.
